Error 678 - There is no answer

This error is caused when you are dialling the wrong number, your phone is faulty or the ISP is down. In can also be caused after upgrading operating system and you are using an incompatible driver.

FIX:

• Check that number is correct.

• Check modem is dialling correct number. You can do this by listening to the modem speaker or lifting the phone just after it dials. You may hear someone say "The number you dialled has not been recognized" or the likes.

• Check that you have not accidentally clicked on "Use 9 for outside line or a code for long distance calls" in modem settings.

• Make sure regional settings are all correct, and also country settings.

• You may get this error when dialling within an internal office Network. Talk to your Administrator for further Help.

• Updated Modem drivers.
